The new APE Pro Series camchain tensioners are an upgraded design of the industry standard APE Classic camchain tensioners. USA made, the Pro Series was originally designed for the racer who frequently needs to make adjustments to the camchain due to extreme use and frequent engine tear downs. The easy access socket head adjuster screw is perfect for tight spaces. The interior O ring design ensures that despite repeated adjustment the O ring will not flatten out eventually and weep. Most Pro Series tensioners come with a gasket or O ring as required. The APE tensioner cannot back off like the OEM type automatic tensioners and is a must for any hard ridden standard or tuned machine. Beware of cheap copies! Easy to install. The APE tensioner often takes up more slack than a standard tensioner, so can sometimes also stop chain noise. Supplied with gasket.
