42mm Blank Titanium Inlet Valve . 7mm Stem . Kibblewhite® Tensilite® titanium valves are manufactured from solid U.S. milled titanium bar. The titanium bar is cut, and forged, and then the stem is pulled from the forging process and cross-sectionally reduced.
These one piece forgings made from 6AL4V or 6-2-4-2 titanium alloy reflect the latest developments in titanium valve alloys. These alloys have superior hardness, strength, and thermal characteristics. After final grinding and machining, Tensilite® valves are encased in a hard Chromium Nitride (CRN) shell. CRN offers excellent resistance to impact, abrasion and corrosion. These qualities and its low coefficient of friction make CRN the coating of choice for high performance titanium valves.
